Civil Engineer (Kuching Sarawak)

Working Days & Hours:

• Monday to Friday: from 8:00 am to 5.00 pm
• Saturday: from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, quality control, and technical documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Job Scope:

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications, method statements and project schedules
• Coordinate and liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Review construction drawings, specifications and technical documents, and identify any discrepancies or technical issues
• Monitor site progress and ensure construction works are completed according to the agreed schedule and quality requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that works comply with project specifications, safety requirements and quality standards
• Prepare and maintain site records, progress reports, inspection requests, method statements and other relevant project documentation
• Assist in planning and coordinating manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor activities at site
• Identify site issues, coordinate with relevant parties and assist in implementing appropriate solutions
• Monitor subcontractors' work performance and ensure works are carried out according to the approved programme and requirements
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager
