Working Days & Hours:

  • Working Hours: From 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday
  • May be required to work after office hours or occasionally on weekends during peak periods, to meet deadlines or attend meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance recognised by the Government or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounting, administration or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in general accounting, finance and administrative functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, account reconciliation and financial documentation.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Computer literate with the ability to adapt to relevant accounting and office management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with the Mill Corporate Office, Mill Management and other departments.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability, particularly when handling financial and employee-related information.
  • Willing to learn, take on new responsibilities and contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in the palm oil industry or plantation/milling environment will be an added advantage.

Job Scopes:

  • Collaborate closely with the Mill Corporate Office on finance, accounting, administrative and operational matters.
  • Prepare, maintain, review and reconcile monthly income and expenditure reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Prepare, monitor and reconcile general ledgers, budgets, financial records and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis, and highlight significant variances to management.
  • Process and verify workers’ checkroll/payroll, including overtime, allowances, deductions and other related payments, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including invoicing, payment processing, outstanding balances and reconciliation.
  • Monitor cash flow and operational expenses and ensure timely submission of financial information and reports to the Mill Corporate Office.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including asset registration, movement, disposal and periodic verification.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and management reports for management review.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and supporting documents are properly recorded, verified, authorised and filed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and systematic documentation and filing system to facilitate efficient retrieval of financial, administrative and operational records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and other relevant parties on finance and administrative matters.
  • Assist in monitoring procurement, purchase orders, invoices and payment documentation to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Support the Mill Manager and Mill Corporate Office in financial planning, administrative coordination and operational reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, statutory requirements and internal controls.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by preparing relevant documents, schedules and supporting information.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the proper handling of financial, payroll and employee-related information.
  • Provide guidance and support to administrative and finance team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial and administrative processes, controls and work efficiency.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties, projects and assignments as assigned by management from time to time.
