Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Support:

  • Assist the Principal in implementing the school curriculum, academic policies, and assessment standards.
  • Monitor teaching quality, lesson planning, and classroom performance.
  • Support academic planning, examinations, and student assessment processes

Student Affairs & Discipline:

  • Oversee student discipline, behavior management, and welfare.
  • Handle student conduct issues, counseling referrals, and parent meetings.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Staff Management & Development:

  • Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff as assigned by the Principal.
  • Support staff performance evaluations, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and duty rosters.

School Operations & Administration:

  • Support daily school operations including timetables, substitutions, and school events.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Assist in managing school resources, facilities, and operational efficiency.

Parent & Community Engagement:

  • Communicate with parents regarding academic progress, discipline, and school matters.
  • Represent the school in meetings, events, and official functions when required.
  • Support positive relationships between the school, parents, and the wider community.

Leadership & Strategic Support:

  • Act as Principal-in-Charge in the absence of the Principal.
  • Assist in school improvement planning and policy development.
  • Support the implementation of school initiatives and strategic goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification and administrative credentials.
  • Proven experience in educational leadership or administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
