Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and support students with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique abilities.
- Conduct one-on-one and small group therapy sessions focusing on articulation, fluency, language development, and social/pragmatic communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Provide strategies and guidance to teachers and parents for effective classroom and home support.
- Participate in student review meetings, including IEP discussions.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
- Stay updated with best practices in speech and language therapy.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Therapy, or a related field.
- Relevant certification/license (if applicable).
- Experience working with children; experience with gifted or neurodiverse learners is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
