Junior Chef (Vegetarian Cuisine)

Salary: RM2,200 – RM2,800 per month

Location: Your Leaf Kantin Happy Garden

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

You will assist in preparing and cooking vegetarian dishes (primarily Nasi Lemak and Wanton Noodles) while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking Chinese vegetarian dishes.
  • Ensure food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Assist with stock receiving, storage, and inventory control.
  • Practice proper food handling and FIFO stock rotation.
  • Support the kitchen team during daily operations and peak periods.
  • Learn and develop skills across different kitchen stations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques (can operate wokhey station)
  • Experience in vegetarian cuisine is an advantage.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
