Executive Buyer (Mazda Malaysia Sdn Bhd)

This position is responsible for supporting the Manager in sourcing activities for new projects, including controlling and managing local content costs and all related commercial documentation through active engagement with local suppliers. The role also requires close coordination with the Aftersales team on costing and commercial matters. In addition, the personnel will be expected to build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers across relevant departments to ensure strong collaboration and long-term supply continuity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involve in sourcing activity for new localization project including supplier selection, Request for Quotation (RFQ) activity, cost analysis & feasibility study, and issuance of various commercial documents (i.e. LOI, LOA, S&P, etc.).
• Cost control data verification including cost monitoring & preparing price database, periodical forex change, and local content & amortization status update.
• Conduct periodical cost improvement activity for mass production including VAVE activity and cost assurance visit at supplier.
• Involve in supplier management activity including performance review, asset tagging & monitoring, and supplier information update.
• Manage & coordinate price database & tooling amortization summary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field - Purchasing / Supply Chain / Engineering / Manufacturing.
• Diploma holders are encourage to apply.
• No minimum experience required for the fresh graduates and they are encourage to apply.
• Analytical Skills - Candidates should be analytically minded in order to analyse the price, cost, etc on daily basis.
• Negotiating Skills - Possess good negotiating skills to secure good deals for the company.
