Resident Engineer - Civil & Structural (Bintangor)

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Engineer (RE) to oversee and supervise the construction of a project located at Kampung Rancak/Jalan Muhibah, Meradong District, Sarikei Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in civil & structural works, preferably bridge construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and relevant standards.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage site operations efficiently.
• Willing to be based on-site (Sarikei Division).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as Resident Engineer for infrastructure or bridge projects.
• Familiar with JKR standards and Sarawak construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor’s progress and performance to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and relevant authorities.
• Review and verify site reports, method statements and shop drawings.
• Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
• Assist in resolving technical issues on site.
