About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Site Services team at NXP Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical utility projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while adhering to quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with consultants, contractors, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact engineering solutions in a semiconductor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the development of mechanical utility systems including water, drainage, HVAC, PCHW, CDA, exhaust, and gases.
• Manage projects from design to completion, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and review blueprint designs using CAD software.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to project team members.
• Report regularly on project status and performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Age must between 35 to 45 years old.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and mechanical design principles (pumps, HVAC, piping, etc.).
• Familiarity with mechanical safety rules, clean room environments, and semiconductor facility standards.
• Proven project management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with major semiconductor facility expansion projects.
• Knowledge of reliability testing, asset management, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
