Our client is an established lifestyle café chain and restaurants in prime urban locations and shopping malls in Malaysia and internationally. They are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the following position.
SENIOR SAFETY & HEALTH EXECUTIVE
(Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya, Selangor)
Responsibilities
- Intensively involve in all documentation of safety and health.
- Responsible to ensure all occupational incidents and near miss in the plant are reported and records are retrievable.
- Liable to compile and maintain Reports of Accidents for management action and for reporting to Statutory Authorities.
- Responsible for registration and renewal of certificate of fitness for machineries at factory.
- Accountable to communicate OSH findings and implement corrective action, ensuring the safety requirements are met within all company premises.
- Analyze, determine and formulate course of action in emergencies such as fires, accidents and other hazards to achieve OSH objectives.
- Accountable to organize OSH related training activities or events to enhance OSH awareness in the company and ensure compliance.
- Responsible for planning, formulating and enforcing all relevant company policies in compliance to Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) regulations.
- Plan and execute the internal and external OSH audits as and when needed, ensuring all safety equipment and requirements are in place.
- Responsible to initiate, lead and conduct risk assessments and incidents investigation within all company premises.
- Liable to provide statistical OSH data and reports to management as and when required.
- Liable to provide technical support and expertise in resolving OSH cases.
- Accountable to develop working relationships and act as company liaison with the municipal office and OSH regulatory bodies.
- Responsible to lead and motivate team members, providing guidance where necessary and ensure the subordinates are competent.
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all Company matters.
Requirements
- Possess Bachelor Degree /Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or any related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) and other relevant Malaysian health and safety regulations.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of similar experience in OSH
- Independent and result oriented with good written & communication skills.
- Possess good decision making skills with sound judgment.
Salary RM5,500 – RM5,800, to commensurate with experience
