Job Description

Our client, is an established lifestyle café chain and restaurants in prime urban locations and shopping malls in Malaysia and internationally. They are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the following position.

ASST HR MANAGER /SENIOR HR EXECUTIVE  (Recruitment & Employee Relations)

(Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya, Selangor)

(Note: Position and salary to commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Industrial Relations activities across the company in compliance with legislation and Management direction. 
  • Address employee inquiries and grievances, ensuring confidentiality and respect.
  • Counsel employees on disciplinary matters and conduct related investigations.
  • Draft official letters for disciplinary actions and maintain related records, ensuring all case files are safe and retrievable. 
  • Design and implement engagement activities and recognition programs to enhance retention.
  • Plan and communicate personal tasks and deliverables to team members and leaders. Encourage team engagement to promote effective learning experience and production of high-quality work from the division.
  • Manage the Recruitment and Employee Relations division's output and report to management routinely on ongoing activities, ensuring they are aligned with HR strategies and service agreements.
  • Develop or revise existing reporting systems to measure recruitment and employee relations performance. These regular reports on the division's activities need to be published within agreed timelines.
  • Work with government agencies on labor and industrial compliance matters.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in recruitment and employee relations.
  • Develop and enforce policies for effective recruitment and employee relations in compliance with legislation. 
  • Oversee HR initiatives as directed by management. Develop new programs and activities to meet industry best practices, business directions, improve awareness and ensure compliance. 
  • Plan and execute recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates to ensure efficient, compliant and successful hiring experience.
  • Identify candidates and build talent pipeline by using job boards, social media, and networking with educational institutions, career events and government bodies.
  • Build relationships with departments to manage recruitment requisitions effectively and meets the business direction.

 Requirements

  •  Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Preferably Generalists or Executives with at least 3-4 year(s) in Recruitment and Industrial Relations. 
  • Detail-oriented with a good understanding of statistical data and result oriented
  • Strong time management skills and proactive and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to convey information clearly and respectfully at all organizational levels.
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Possess a friendly, approachable and welcoming personality.

Salary RM5,000 – RM7,000, to commensurate with experience
