We are currently looking to fill the following position for our client, a FMCG public listed company in Hongkong and an established wholesaler and retailer of food, beverages and other consumer products.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER (Based in Puchong, Selangor)
**Option to be based in Kuantan for applicants from Pahang.
Job Summary
To lead in all human capitalisation activity that delivers revenue, profitability, short- and long-term goals through designing, implementing, managing and overseeing overall key human resource strategies, tactics and plans.
RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Strategy
- To strategize and implement HR Department Strategic House on 4 critical pillars; Win with Customer, Win with Customers, Operational Excellence and People Excellence.
- To drive human capital growth strategies and execute the 360 implementation that encompasses full PDCA cycle of accountability; Plan, Develop, Control and Action to ensure the achievement of short-term deliverables and objective of HR Department
- To develop a long-term Human Capital roadmap for SCC Group
- To position SCC as employee of choice in F&B Distributor.
- To develop and cultivate relationships with business partners (inter departments) for long term business sustainability.
- To implement improvements in HR process, HR operations effectiveness and efficiencies, HR SOP, organisational behaviour, and culture to achieve long and short-term revenue and profit objectives and risk reduction/mitigation.
- To deliver annual recruitment & retention KPI within HR spent and ROI approved.
- To build a strong and motivated HR team, with healthy regrettable attritions.
- To comply to all statutory requirements such as the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, EPF Act, SOCSO regulations, etc.
- To keep abreast of HR specific trends and landscapes of retail and FMCG by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- To prepare Annual Budget and Target KPI setting, and successfully obtain approval from Management
2. Operations
- To oversee and perform directly and or indirectly full spectrum of Human Resources functions which include recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, training & development, manpower planning, performance management, employee relations, industrial relations and payroll administration.
- To ensure communication, prompt resolution of grievances and etc to ensure the employer-employee relationship is developed, maintained, and improvised.
- To manage employee conflicts and provide counselling with respect to disciplinary issues, grievances, to conduct domestic inquiries & manage industrial relations as and when required.
- To oversee accurate and timely preparation and update of human resource policies and procedures.
- To be review Compensation and Benefit scheme annually and whenever necessary.
- To drive on time in full implementation of people performance annual agenda from KPI setting, mid-year and end year review, briefing and refresher, training & development, promotion/com& ben, and presentation to Management for overall performance overview.
- Consolidate and prepare monthly HR Report & KPI status for management review, including all mandatory reporting on HR related section in ESG compliance.
- To work closely with all stakeholders to achieve company revenue and profit goals
- Any other additional responsibilities assigned by superior and or Management
3. People
- To provide clear direction and communication of decisions for execution excellence, on time in full
- To lead by example, inspire and motivate an effective HR team
- To set KPI, review quarterly achievements and recommend development plan for subordinates.
- To build a strong forward action team that contribute to the Holding Company’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
REQUIREMENTS
- Min 10 years of working experience in HR, 3 years in leadership/managerial/ people manager positions, preferably hands on in Recruitment & Retention, L&D and Employee Engagement
- Minimum Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of payroll software, statutory payments, claims and income tax deductions
- Strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955, IR
- High Talent Management & Development acumen.
- Strong work ethics, analytical capability, and problem solver
- Strong interpersonal skill and demonstrate ability to work effectively with others in a team
- Fluency and strong communication skills in Mandarin and major dialects, English, Malay
- Must have ability to work and adapt in a Mandarin speaking work environment culture.
- Based in Puchong Commercial Office but must be willing to travel to Kuantan HQ and other branch offices for minimally 2 weeks per month and mobile as and when business locality call
Salary RM10,000 -RM15,000, to commensurate with experience. The position will report to the CEO/MD.
