We are currently looking to fill the following position for our client, a FMCG public listed company in Hongkong and an established wholesaler and retailer of food, beverages and other consumer products.
ASSISTANT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER (Based in Puchong, Selangor)
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategy
- To strategize and implement Supply Chain (including Production) Department Strategic House on 4 critical pillars; Win with Consumers, Win with Customers, Operational Excellence and People Excellence.
- To drive supply chain and production excellence strategies in tandem with business needs and execute the 360 implementation that encompasses full PDCA cycle of accountability; Plan, Develop, Control and Action to ensure the achievement of short-term deliverables and objectives.
- To identify improvement opportunities and seek with strong implementation to the effect of efficiencies, leveraging from company current strength and clear accountability to change weaknesses.
- To deliver annual supply chain and production target within budgeted opex or justified approvals.
- To optimised cost to deliver, maintenance cost and man hours productivity cost.
- To demonstrate ownership and accountability towards supply chain and production Key Results Area and Key Performance indicators.
- To build a strong and motivated supply chain and production team with healthy regrettable attritions.
- To keep abreast of industry specific trends and landscapes of supply chain, retail and consumer goods.
- To prepare Annual Budget and Target KPI setting and successfully obtain approval from Management.
2. Operations
- To oversee day to day operations of Puchong area Supply Chain
- To directly manage day to day operations of Puchong
- To curate and implement Supply Chain best practises in well documented Standard Operating Procedure, which will pass audit by principles.
- To instil 5S culture into ACC Supply chain operations
- To instil hygiene and zero tolerance for accidents into ACC supply chain operations
- To deploy preventive measures and schedule activities in Supply chain and production.
- To spearhead all Environmental actions to achieve targets set.
- To implement strictly Warehouse day to day operations and discipline.
- To implement proper and strict cycle count and period stock counts that lead to accurate and consistent inventory control and valuation.
- To control loss in supply chain by minimising damages due to poor handling & pest, thefts, expiring/near expiring, obsolete and slow moving, returns from trade and pallet management.
- To optimise warehouse space by allowing justified stocks holding & purchases by Purchasing and challenging sales performance.
- To implement best in class route planning for deliveries and achieve high service level as per KPI set.
- To work closely with all stakeholders to achieve company revenue and profit goals.
- Any other additional responsibilities assigned by superior and or Management.
Requirements
- Min 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain/Operations, 2 years in leadership/managerial/ people manager positions, preferably hands on in managing Warehouse personnels
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, relevant certification and complementary working experiences can be considered without tertiary education.
- Fluency in English, Malay, Mandarin and major dialects
- Familiar with Warehousing and Logistic systems such as WMS, TNS etc
- Strong leadership skill, with ability to command actions.
- Strong work ethics, analytical capability and problem solver
Salary RM7,000, to commensurate with experience. Position reports to the Managing Director
