Our client is an established cakes & cafés chain and restaurants in prime urban locations and shopping malls in Malaysia. They are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the following position.
ASSISTANT HR MANAGER /SENIOR HR EXECUTIVE (Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations)
(Petaling Jaya, Selangor)
(Note: Position tand salary o commensurate with experience)
Job Summary
- Playing a key role in administrate industrial and employee relations in line with company’s needs.
- Planning, developing and implementing HR management strategies (including recruitment and selection, policy/practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, succession planning, moral and motivation, culture and attitude development and management issues).
- Manage and administer HR processes related to recruitment and selection, employee relations and performance management on office, outlets and manufacturing, in line with Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Take full responsibility for investigating and reporting in cases raised by departments.
- Provide leadership to team members and guiding them toward departmental and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition/Recruitment
- Plan, propose strategies and execute recruitment activities, recruitment activities, including sourcing, pre-screening, shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, extending job offers and managing onboarding.
- Source both active and passive candidates using job boards, social media, resume databases, job fairs and referrals and manage recruitment advertising.
- Assess the company’s recruitment needs and develop policies and procedures to manage the performance of recruitment
- Participate in career fairs, collaborate with recruitment channels and build relationships with colleges/universities for talent sourcing.
- Build a strong talent pipeline by promoting the company’s hiring initiatives and partnering with government agencies, training providers and academic institutions.
- Maintain up to date and accurate recruitment plan in order to be able to prioritize staffing needs.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments to implement recruitment plans effectively
- Safeguard recruitment documents including but not limited to Manpower Requisitions and its attachment, candidacy documents job offers and stay updated on the latest development in recruitment.
- Generate routine reports for data/statistical intelligence of recruitment and maintain functional tracking and reporting systems to measure recruitment
2. Employee Relations/Industrial Relations
- Attend and address to employee’s inquiries and grievances, ensuring the information are treated with confidentiality and respect.
- Counsel, educate and advise employees on disciplinary matters in line with company guidelines and policies.
- Plan and conduct investigations on labour issues and facilitate follow-up actions.
- Ensure all Domestic Inquiry (DI) proceedings are in accordance with the rules of natural justice and adhere to procedural requirements.
- Plan and execute overall Industrial Relations (IR) activities for all employees across HQ, factories and branches
- Liaise with government agencies on labor and industrial compliance.
- Draft official letters, including but not limited to the purpose of memorandum, show cause, suspension, charge pending Domestic Inquiry, termination etc.
- Manage the performance of employee relations functions based on HR strategies, plans, service level agreements and reporting to management on its results.
- Safeguard disciplinary records, grievances and case documents and maintain functional tracking and reporting systems to measure employee relations assignments.
- Propose, design, develop and implement staff engagement activities, reward and recognition programs to improve retention.
- Initiate team engagement activities, motivate staff and foster positive work values to enhance morale.
- Plan and manage tasks and provide progress updates to team members and assigned leaders. Oversee the quality of work and provide guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in any HR Management/ Business Studies or equivalent.
- Possess knowledge and experience in Recruitment and Employee Relations/Industrial Relations
- Detail-oriented with a good understanding of statistical data and result oriented
- Strong time management skills and proactive and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to convey information clearly and respectfully at all organizational levels.
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Possess a friendly, approachable and welcoming personality.
- Malay lady candidate, age between 26 to 35 years old
Salary RM4,500 – RM7,000, to commensurate with experience
