Job Description

The role of Finance Manager assumes responsibility for all financial reporting and the integrity of all transactions processed in the general ledger for the company. The position is responsible for the completion of periodic management accounts & reports based on the information contained within the general ledger.  The position is also responsible for ensuring that the group complies with all financial statutory requirements including International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”).

Job Description

  • Oversee the General Ledger management & Accounts preparation.
  • Cost control and cost management.  Work extensively with the procurement and production team in handling product costing to develop standard cost models, maintain periodic cost revision exercises, and ensure accuracy in the Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Cash Flow management.
  • Maintenance of Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable.
  • Maintenance of the Asset Register including Intangible Assets.
  • Preparation and maintenance of daily Bank Reconciliations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting & projections process.
  • Preparation of company and departmental performance reports for management analysis.
  • Liaise with China team on group level reporting requirements.
  • Developing and the implementation of financial related systems, policies and procedures
  • Ad-hoc reporting / queries.
  • Statutory compliance and general support.

 Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with strong technical competency.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a corporate or commercial environment.
  • Good leadership skills and has min of 5 years in managerial position.
  • Has experience in Cost Control and Cost Management in manufacturing environment.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage as our HQ is in China.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including non-financial staff.
  • Proactive approach to problem identification & resolution.
  • Strong degree of accuracy & organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, willing to support & enhance the activities of other members of the organisation.
  • Fast learner and lateral thinker
  • Commercially savvy with lots of scope to learn new things
  • Those with min 3 years of audit experience will have an added advantage.
