Job Description

TASK / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To handle full set of accounts for the projects in charge, including updated of daily/monthly bank summary, prepare payment vouchers, debit/credit notes, journal vouchers and other schedule for superior’s review;
  • To responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance operational matters;
  • To assist on the process of monthly claim included checking and payment of claim;
  • To handle to the bank deposits including collection of cheque or bank in cheque;
  • To perform Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis;
  • To ensure accurate allocation of direct and indirect costs to specific projects;
  • To manage data entry and updating accounting records;
  • To ensure proper monitoring of suppliers and sub-con aging and reconciliation;
  • To ensure timely and accurate accounting data entries;
  • To maintain and upkeep proper documentation and filing system;
  • To handle sub-con payment and status, back charge info and liaise with QS for information;
  • To assist and resolve enquiries from internal or external of company;
  • To support in audit queries;
  • To perform all other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors whenever necessary from time to time.

REQUIREMENT

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, principles and procedures
  • Required skills: MS Excel, MS Word. Familiar with Master accounting system would be added advantages
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin.
  • Positive attitude, good teamwork, self-driven, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
