Retail Supervisor (Miri)

What does your day look like?

• Lead, coach, manage, and mentor your team
• Strategically procure and order inventory including plant material, soils, fertilizers, tools, garden accessories, etc.- anticipating needs for future products
• Provide advice and expertise in horticulture and gardening to our team and clients
• Merchandise inventory and create beautiful product displays
• Manage overall retail store, labour, and budget
• Implement new and exciting marketing or event ideas to grow clients.

What do we need from you?

Must haves:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a customer service role
• Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial role
• Horticulture Diploma or equivalent preferred, if you don’t have this, then you have a passion and proven knowledge for the landscaping and horticulture industry
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to develop a dynamic team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays in our busy season
• Ability to lift up to 7Kg repetitively and work in all weather conditions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook email and calendar

Additional assets that you may have

• Have Driving license
• Knowledge of differing soil types, fertilizers/pesticides, and overall pest management
