Job Description:

  • PLANNING
    • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
    • Develop financial and tax strategies

  • OPERATIONS - OVERALL COMPANY
    • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
    • Take on a strong business partnering role assisting the CEO in providing strategic and analytical support to evaluate and improve business performances and potential growth opportunities
    • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
    • Take charge of the financial analysis, business planning, budgeting, strategic direction and resource allocation. 
    • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
    • Responsible in making sure the businesses achieve revenue, financial risk targets and expenses within budget
    • Analyzing cost optimization involving logistics and distribution channels in meetig revenue targets and driving profit margins
    • Analyzes general economic, business, and financial conditions to assess their impact on theGroup’s policies, operations, and profitability.
    • Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax,and treasury departments
    • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
    • Preparation of group financial forecasts including commercial P&L and cash flows for business planning and performance review.

  • OPERATIONS - FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP / FINANCE DEPARTMENT
    • Accountable for all financial reporting functions which includes financial & management reporting
    • Manage and oversee the full spectrum of accounting, finance and tax functions and ensure that preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports are accurate and on time, from both a business unit basis and consolidated basis for Managing Director, Group and auditor review 
    • Responsible for developing suitable financial and operating procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness 
    • Review finance structure and bench strength to ensure the right capabilities, competencies and capacities are in place. 
    • To drive the business analysis team to performing strategic, financial and operational analysis to facilitate sound business decision 
    • Ensure proper accounting systems, processes and infrastructure are designed and deployed for delivery of accurate and timely financial reports. 
    • Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced 
    • Highly involved in tax and audit management and process improvements Report financial results to the board of directors 
    • Manage/oversee cash flow projections to control payment and collection schedule to achieve efficiency in cash management system. 
  • RISK MANAGEMENT
    • Stand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile 
    • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry 
    • Construct and monitor reliable control systems 
    • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage 
    • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements 
    • Responsible for all governance framework including Audit Compliance, Tax Compliance, in line with company's policies and compliance requirements. 
    • Ensure the statutory requirements and compliance set by Bank Negara and relevant statutory bodies are in accordance to the best corporate governance. 
    • Report risk issues to Managing Director and/or Board of Directors 
    • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations 
    • Establish robust risk management framework, internal controls and systems are set 
  • OTHERS
    • Lead and oversee IT department 
Job Requirement

General

  • Age: 38 - 50 years old
  • Language: English // Malay
  • Academic Background: Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting with qualification
  • Working Experience: 
    • Minimum 15 years of working experience with the last 5 years at senior management level.
    • member of either MIA/ACCA/CPA/MICPA/CIMA. (COMPULSORY)

Hard Skill / Qualifications:

  • Covering the full spectrum of Financial & Management Accounts, Budgeting, Treasury, Risk Management, Taxation, IT and Legal.
  • Candidates from multi-national companies (MNCs) are welcome
  • Knowledge in an ERP environment, i.e SAP B1, HFM.
  • Working experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
